2008

Well hello all! I didn't get my act together to get Christmas cards printed up, so this is what ya get instead!

Significant Events of 2008:
Mason's Blessing - January 6th

Aidan became a Star Student at school! - January

Julie's oldest niece, Heidi, got married May 17th - the first of the grandchildren - oh how time flies! Welcome to the family, Alex!

Julie's second oldest niece, Amy, graduated HS as the Valedictorian!

Aidan became a Cub Scout! He started as a Tiger Cub early in the year and in the summer became a Wolf and went to day camp. This has been so much fun!!!!!

Family Camping Trip - August

Delvin's Dad and Julie's Brother, Steve, came to visit - just in time for. . .

Aidan's Baptism - on his birthday - August 17th

Aidan Started 2nd Grade

Delvin Cooked a Pig - September 5th - yes a whole pig - he killed it, prepared it, dug the pit, the whole works - it was gooooooooood!

Mason's First Birthday - November 16th

We have REALLY enjoyed the snow - a rare thing for it to snow more than a few inches in Washington and actually stay for any amount of time!

Aidan was published twice this year - once with Scouts in the local paper, the Marysville Globe, and once in the Everett Herald for making a comment about veterans in a special Veterans Day tribute!

Mason had several significant events, being his first year of life and all! Here's a recap (this recap is really for my benefit, but may be of interest to some of you):

• Rolls from Tummy to Back - March 27th
• Rolls from Back to Tummy - March 28th
• 1st Laugh - April 1st (playing jokes on April Fools' Day)
• First Tooth - April 8th
• Sits Alone - April 12th
• Second Tooth - April 13th
• First airplane ride - May 12th (went to Utah)
• Stands up to furniture - May 15th
• Pulls self up to standing - May 25th
• 3rd Tooth - June 9th
• 4th Tooth - June 12th
• Mason is crawling - June 13th
• 5th Tooth - June 25th
• 6th Tooth - June 28th
• 7th Tooth - August 5th
• 8th Tooth - August 7th
• First steps - Third week of August (only 9 months old!)
• Walking full speed - September 16th
• Dressed up as a Lion for Halloween
• 1st Birthday - November 16th!!!!!
• 1st Molar - November 20th
• Surgery for tubes in tear ducts - November 24th
• 2nd Molar - November 25th
• Learned to give a "High 5" and a "Head Butt" (Hilarious!) - 1st week in December
• Tubes came out - December 7th (ugh)
• Climbs up the dining room chairs and onto the table! - December 23rd (AHHHH!)
• 11th Tooth - December 25th (that's a lot of teeth!)

Favorite activities: Vacuuming, playing ball (baseball, soccer, football - he loves balls!), climbing, exploring and following Aidan around.

He is soooooo busy - constantly on the go and keeps our family laughing with all the cute things he does! He grew so fast!!!! He is now over 22 pounds and 31 inches!

Whew - a lot happened this year! We have a lot to be thankful for and hope everyone is filled with the love of Christmas this year and it lasts throughout 2009!
